Operating System Deployment and Update Expert

We are on the lookout for an **Operating System Deployment and Update Expert (OSDU) **to join our team to work with European Institutions in a **far-site mode, from the confort of your home country (with visits to our client’s offices upon request every 3 months)**.***

For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions, DG DIGIT, Unit B1. The “Artificial Intelligence, data and Web” unit (DIGIT.B1) in partnership with other Commission services and stakeholders, provides high quality solutions, guidance and expertise in the areas of collaboration, content, data, information and knowledge management to support the operational and strategic activities of the European Commission, with the aim to improve efficiency through information and knowledge sharing, interoperability, integration and standardisation, enabling the successful implementation of the Commission's Digital Transformation and EU policies.

**Your role**
- Establishment/maintenance of procedures related to deployment of Drupal sites
- Support to developers inusing CI/CD tools and for deployment operations
- Analysis of drupal sites performances
- Support diagnosis and investigation in site incidents and implement workaround in order to restore functionality
- Investigate repetitive incidents for root cause identification and implement solutions to prevent such incidents from happening
- Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in Drupal/LAMP web infrastructure technology
- Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects

- Very good knowledge of Drupal and PHP
- Very good knowledge of the EC DIGIT Drupal hosting service
- Good knowledge of Composer
- Good knowledge of LAMP and drupal hosting solutions
- Good knowledge of gitlab and CI/CD capabilities
- Good knowledge of Nextcloud
- Familiarity with AWS cloud

**Nice to haves (not indispensable)**
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team;
- Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;
- Excellent Team Player
- C1 level of English (fluent)
