**Security Architect, Contract (6 Month initially), Brussels Belgium (Hybrid 1/2 office days weekly)**

**Daily rate - 600 - 700 Euros**

The global role of Security Architect/Analyst is a Senior role within the department of IT Security, Risk management, Data Privacy and Compliance.

The Security architect/analyst is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up to date with the latest security standards, systems and authentication protocols, as well as best practice security products.

**Requirements**:
Everyday responsibilities and activities:

- Ensuring a continuous strategic alignment with the business and IT objectives;
- Enhances security team accomplishments and competencies by planning the delivery of solutions and answering technical questions;
- Ensuring the continuous adherence to the set security principles;
- Definition and updating of security requirements;
- Conducting security reviews for new projects and initiatives providing guidance, security assessments, and recommendation for the necessary enhancements;
- Advising projects on security requirements in line with Security standards, guidelines, processes and policies;
- Creating, updating, and maintaining Security standards, guidelines, processes and policies;
- Staying up to date with emerging security practices and standards, through participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations and reading professional publications;
- Be a first/single point of contact for security related topics towards IT and Business stakeholders;
**Experience**:

- Master’s degree with a Computer Science background or Cyber Security degree.
- Min 5 years work experience in IT disciplines in a cyber security context.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Security Architect/Analyst or a similar role
- Strong understanding of cloud computing architecture, technical design and implementations and delivery models
- expertise in security measures such as Operating Systems hardening, firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), network access controls, and network segmentation.
- Knowledge and experience with ISO 27001/27002, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks

**Competencies**:

- Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability
- Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and cybersecurity and experience of business and technical information security concepts including risk management, defense in depth, and accreditation supported by technical skills and certifications such as CISSP and TOGAF/SABSA
- Good working knowledge of current IT threat landscape and experience into translating them into a pragmatic, risk-based action plan
- Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of personnel to explain and enforce security measures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: €650.00 - €700.00 per day
