The VIB Training & Conferences Program delivers high-quality, fully integrated training and personal development initiatives. Our offerings include modular training events, e-learning courses, specialized workshops, summer schools, international conferences, and customized development opportunities aimed at nurturing the skills of scientists across the globe.

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic **Data Science and AI Trainer** to join our team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver training programs focused on AI and Data Science. You will also pioneer innovative AI-driven educational methods to enhance our life sciences workshops and e-learning content. Your contributions will be pivotal in advancing the skills and literacy of our institute's members in Data Science and AI.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Training Design, Development and Delivery**:

- Design and develop training programs on Data Science and AI topics, including machine learning algorithms, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
- Provide foundational sessions about programming, data processing, model evaluation, and ethical considerations in AI.
- Develop interactive and hands-on exercises to enhance learning experiences.
- Conduct training for researchers related to the research domains of VIB.AI.
- Create training content in various formats for face-to-face sessions, online courses, and recorded videos, tailored to the needs of VIB researchers.
- **Continuous Improvement & Collaboration**:

- Innovate and develop new edTech tools to enhance the learning experience and effectiveness of training programs.
- Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve training programs.
- Stay current with Machine Learning & AI for Life Sciences trends and integrate these into the training curriculum.
- Work closely with VIB.AI, VIB Data Core, ELIXIR, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions.
- Participate in the VIB Bioinformatics and AI community.
- Serve as our team’s point of contact for researchers requiring guidance on data analysis techniques, and AI tool usage.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science-related topic or equivalent experience in Data science and AI.
- ** Technical & Scientific Expertise**:

- Proven experience developing and delivering face-to-face and online training for researchers and staff personnel.
- Expertise in Machine Learning and AI methods.
- Familiarity with educational tools
- **Skills & Attributes**:

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in English.
- A commitment to creating an open, safe, and interactive learning environment.
