**Location: Brussel, 50% remote**

As Chief Data Architect, you will play a central role in the design and development of the data platform. You will actively participate in the
implementation of a strategy to move towards a more data-driven organization. The Chief Data Architect is part of the Data Office department and reports directly to the Chief Data Officer (CDO).

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- You are responsible for the data architecture as well as the technical architecture of the the analytical data platform.
- You will supervise the architecture of the data-warehouses.
- You are in charge of defining the conceptual modeling of the data.
- You define the data acquisition and integration processes including master data and repository management.
- You supervise the data architecture for analytical solutions projects.
- You will ensure that the proposed architecture meets the needs of data security and data security and privacy requirements.
- You will collaborate with the project teams (Project Manager, functional analysts and developers) throughout the project life cycle in a pragmatic and agile mode.
- You create a robust and sustainable architecture that takes into account current and future business and future business needs, taking into account budget constraints, data availability and resource requirements.
- You evaluate and select the tools and components required for optimal data management (data acquisition, storage, quality management, visualization,
- advanced analytics capabilities and governance).
- You ensure that the technical architecture (of the data warehouse, including the physical components and components and their functionality) is properly documented.
- You evaluate the current technical architecture and estimate the capacity of the system to meet the short and long term processing needs.

**SKILLS**
- With a university degree in Computer Science or equivalent, you have;
- At least five years of experience in data architecture.
- You have several years of experience in the architecture of data warehouses and analytical platforms.
- You have demonstrated your ability to develop conceptual data models.
- You have a good knowledge and experience of practices and techniques associated with data security, as well as privacy protection (GDPR).
- You have knowledge, and if possible experience, of data solutions in the cloud. You can develop a strategy for the gradual migration of components or data to the cloud.
- You preferably have knowledge in metadata management and master data management (MDM).
- You also have a confirmed knowledge of SQL server and related products (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
- You are used to working with teams in agile model.

- You are constructive and pragmatic in solving problems and are results-oriented.
- Finally, you are autonomous but able to work in a collaborative spirit within a cross-functional organization.
