Job details Start ASAP Salary €120k per annum (DOE) Location Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid) Job type Permanent Job description My client is looking for a passionate Technical Lead with coding and Big Data experience to join their growing global team. You will work on complex and data driven projects. The role will be client
- facing and require a lot of interaction with clients, so client facing communication and presentation skills are key. Responsibilities Manage, transform, and cleanse high volume data.

Write defensive, fault tolerant and efficient code for data processing. Automate data processing to enable on-going alerts on high-risk activity. Work very closely with data scientists to ensure efficient and effective delivery of solutions. Use leading open source big-data tools, such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala and Elasticsearch.

Leading a team/mentoring junior engineers. Requirements Experience as a Scrum Master/with Agile Coding (Scala, Java and/or Python) Worked on complex data projects for financial service clients BIG data experience from an implementation or data science perspective Knowledge of: Spark, Hadoop or Elasticsearch AGILE (especially Scrum experience) Experience building traditional data processing pipelines either traditional ETL pipelines and/or analytics pipelines Experience with Git, Gradle, Jenkins or Nexus Know what makes a stable and high quality system, but also how to streamline all areas of development, release and operations.
