Associate Scientist (Liquid chromatography)

- Hours per week: 40 Imagine your next project driving the development of life-changing synthetic therapeutics from the lab bench straight to patients worldwide. Analytical Development is a critical part of the Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS)
- Synthetics Development organization within Johnson & Johnson. Within the Analytical Method and Stability Center (AMSC), we focus on end-to-end support of synthetic drug substances and drug products in development, ensuring the successful progression of both small molecules and new modalities from clinical Phase 1 up to registration. Our team provides analytical support and enables the seamless transition of innovative therapeutics through each phase of development. roles and responsibilities As an Associate Scientist, you will be essential in delivering analytical support for new molecular entities, including both small molecules and new modalities (e.g., therapeutic peptides, conjugates, and oligonucleotides), from clinical Phase 1 up to registration. This will involve:
- Perform analyses in support of product and process characterization, method development and validation, release, and stability, with a primary emphasis on liquid chromatography (LC).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory guidelines, analytical methods and specifications, GMP and safety.
- Scientific evaluation of generated results. - how to succeed You are a meticulous, adaptable, and dynamic scientist who maintains high-quality standards for laboratory experiments and takes full accountability for your results. You will also bring:
- A master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry or a related scientific field, or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
- General awareness of cGMP regulations and practical experience is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on expertise in liquid chromatography (LC) with various methods of detection.
- Knowledge of chromatography data systems (CDS), more specifically Empower and/or OpenLab.
- You maintain high-quality standards for experiments and take accountability for the experiments and results.
- You are efficient, adaptable and dynamic.
- You are customer-focused and results-driven.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
