**Location: Brussel, 50% remote**

The Data Functional Analyst & Architect plays a key role in the requirements gathering and the data modelling of data analytics solutions developed for company Business Units. You are part of the Data Office, a central organization providing data services across the different business lines.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Facilitate and conduct interviews with business end users to determine functional and non functional requirements for BI solutions;
- Translate business needs into logical model with appropriate documentation;
- Works with the Project Leader (PL) along the entire project lifecycle to ensure appropriate delivery in an agile and pragmatic approach;
- Develop Conceptual and logical data models used for data warehousing solutions;
- Oversees data architecture and data integration including master data management and data validation;
- Participate actively in the design of solution architecture around data projects: Data warehouse architecture

Architecture of “Master Data Management” and quality management solutions
Data integration and validation
General principles used in solution architecture (web services, etc.)
- Ensure the development of analytical solutions respecting performance constraints, and supporting large volumes of data;
- Conduct prototype reviews and demo’s including training on the data model to the business users.

**SKILLS**
- Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional requirements;
- Good experience in data warehouse design (Kimball dimensional modelling);
- Strong Data modelling experience (conceptual, logical and physical modelling);
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework;
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SQL queries and T-SQL;
- Good knowledge, and concrete experience in the development of technical solutions using the following products: Analytical and reporting products such as SSAS, SAS Viya, SSRS, Spark

BI products such as Power BI, SAS Visual Analytics
ETL products such as SSIS
- Experience in master and reference data integration is a plus;
- Experience in working in an agile project mode is a plus.
