**Location** Leuven, Belgium **Type of Contract** Full-time permanent position **Department** Warehouse **Purpose of the job** We are looking for an experienced Warehouse’ Shipping & logistic coordinator to manage daily shipping, warehouse and logistic operations. You will be the one to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. **Duties and responsibilities** The job is situated in a Warehouse - production environment that is working back to back to customer orders. **Activities**: - Use software to track, check, prioritize and follow deliveries - Manage all important documents such as; POD’s Custom documents,. - Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment - Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders - Control budget of the shipping department - Collaborate with warehouse supervisor, Production operation coordinator and other supervisors to optimize processes - Resolve issues regarding shipped orders - Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies - Report to management on activities and issue - Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services - Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle - Liaise and negotiate with carriers - Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency - Arrange warehouse with warehouse supervisor - Resolve any arising problems or complaints - Help to Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce - Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets - Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements - Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements - Back up for warehouse supervisor - Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock - Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process - Be a direct communication point in all communication from and to Back office **Some KPIs**: - Service rate towards customers, on time deliveries >98% - +/- 15K units per month over 150 order lines - Monthly saving on inbound freights **Profile and Skills** **Education level & general experience** - 5 years’ experience in a warehouse of a very high quality and high flexibility demanding environment (industrial, aeronautic, automotive ,) - Bachelor’s - Master degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field. - In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry. - Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software. - Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Experience with incoterms and customs regulations - Hands on mentality, 50 % of the task is on the floor - Excellent attention to detail skills - Project management skills - Ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision - Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus **Technical knowledge** - PC MS Office - Experience in using ERP for the main functionalities used in a production environment (**SAP is a plus**). - Lean-Six sigma tools or equivalent (The 5 Whys, The 5S System, Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) - Behavioural indicators - Dynamic - Improvement mentality - People manager - Innovative - Commercial skills (because of contract manufacturing) - Communicative skills: good listener - Flexible (2 shifts in high volume moments)
