The scope, here, is delivering structural safety and technical robustness for key grid infrastructure projects within the Belgian energy transition roadmap.
The Key responsibilities expected from our consultant might include:
Support projects through high-quality and detail-oriented execution, ensuring accuracy and meeting expectations:
- Execute stability studies for civil works in Postes and Powerlinks projects
- Develop and design structural models for foundations, walls, tanks, buildings, steel supports, and pylon footings
- Use calculation tools to simulate and calculate structural stability
- Prepare and draft calculation notes documenting methodology, philosophy and synthesis
- Ensure full alignment between technical plans and calculation results
- Analyze specific cases such as retaining structures, underground substations and cable tunnels
Support projects with rational and data-driven assessments regarding costs, quality, and timelines, providing objective analyses for decision-making:
- Review and examine external partners’ stability studies and related plans
- Verify compliance of all stability studies with current standards and legislation
- Validate accuracy and completeness of calculation documents
Support projects by facilitating communication and reporting between stakeholders:
- Collaborate with internal designers to develop and refine structural concepts
- Communicate observations and requirements to external partners
- Formulate remarks and coordinate feedback cycles to reach final validated study versions
The experience we are actively looking for:
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and French
- At least 7 years Experience in foundation design and soil mechanics
- Proficiency in structural calculation tools
- Solid understanding of current legislation and engineering norms
- Immediate availability and presence in Belgium are preferred
