**Summary**

Reporting to the VP of Finance & Accounting, the Senior Accounting Manager is a key member of CellCarta’s global accounting organization with primary responsibility for the company’s global transactional accounting team and financial close processes. Key responsibilities include managing the global monthly financial close, high quality transactions processing and cash management, with adherence to the company’s BE and US GAAP accounting policies, dimensional reporting and strong internal controls. The Senior Accountant Manager supports the company’s annual financial audit and compliance reporting. Additionally, this role provides leadership and oversight to develop a high performing global Center of Excellence transactions processing team with a commitment to continuous process improvement and an ability to integrate and support new acquisitions rapidly.

**Responsibilities**
- Manages the company’s transactional accounting team in Belgium responsible for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions processing. Ensures team members clearly understand their roles and are motivated to achieve goals and objectives.
- Manages the company’s global monthly and annual financial close and reporting processes to provide leadership with timely and accurate financial reporting of results in accordance with BE and US GAAP. Ensures intercompany transactions are settled and reconciled timely for consolidated reporting.
- Coordination of the local statutory tax and VAT reporting requirements.
- Ensures the completeness, accuracy, and clarity of creditor financial reporting in accordance with BE and US GAAP.
- Maintains the company’s internal financial controls, with direct responsibility for maintaining a reliable environment of internal financial controls to ensure the company’s financial statements are free from material errors.
- Maintains effective financial systems and data structures that improve the efficiency and quality of financial reporting and ensures transactions processing supports the company’s global operating model and dimensional reporting.
- Key contact and responsibility for supporting the timely completion of the financial external audit.
- Key contact for banking transactions. Supports the company’s cash management, treasury and forecasting processes.
- Maintains a platform and team able to absorb transactions processing for new acquisitions. Leads migration of transactional accounting processes for general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable to the Shared Services Center of Excellence organization while maintaining high quality services for finance and non finance stakeholders.

**Education**
- Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Applied business economics or Commercial sciences, preferably with a specialization in accounting

**Main Requirements**
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a finance & accounting leadership role, with demonstrated ability to lead a team
- Strong business acumen and judgment, and current knowledge of the market/product and industry trends.
- Current knowledge of current trends in finance and functional best-practices.
- Develops and manages processes that are effective and efficient.
- Champions cross-functional learning and training in support of development plans and to ensure team can scale and flex in response to fluctuating volumes
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (Dutch and English), and presentation skills.
- Possesses executive presence and is capable of representing to the CFO and other business executives in high-visibility settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, and capable of gaining commitment and coordinated action for initiatives.
- Maintains effective working relationships across the company, at the business, functional, and corporate levels.
- Nurtures effective external industry and professional network including contemporary financial organization, process, and system design and implementation.
