Cook - Kitchen Assistant (M/F)

Makifornia, a fast-growing Asian Fusion restaurant concept with 6 locations, is looking for motivated Sushimen/Sushiwomen and Kitchen Assistants to join the team in Vilvoorde. Your Role As a Kitchen Assistant, your position will revolve around three main areas:Production*

- Preparation of rice, meats, fish (salmon cutting), fruits and vegetables
- Preparation of sauces, toppings, salads and crusty items
- Strict adherence to recipes and internal procedures Hot & Minute Dishes
- Preparation of Donburi, Poké bowls, Hot sides, Makis, Sides and Crusty
- Cooking, frying and grilling meats, poultry and fish
- Plating and managing orders during service Organization & Hygiene
- Mise en place before service
- Daily product rotation and DLC (expiry date) control
- Temperature checks of refrigerators and freezers
- Cleaning workstations, floors and waste management
- Strict compliance with HACCP standards Before / During / After Service
- Stock control and production planning for the following day
- Ensuring impeccable hygiene at all times
- Guaranteeing smooth service, even during peak hours
