Sustainability & Utilities Officer

**Your responsibilities**:

- Understand and detect problems/opportunities related to the themes: sustainability, waste water and energy.
- Daily monitoring of WWTP, participate with production in projects or improvements in order to optimize WWTP procedures and processes.
- Monthly monitoring of sustainability or other relevant environmental KPI.
- Sustainability reporting to BENEO and SZ
- Monitor the implementation of SHE procedures and site regulations (by conducting tours, risk analyses, follow-up of legislation etc.)
- Support the team with health and safety procedures (maintaining procedures, KPI monitoring, )
- Clearly communicate solutions to a broad stakeholder base, in order to increase awareness and compliance with internal procedures and external requirements.
- Follow-up of changes in legislation and ensure legal compliance (as minimum).
- Organise regular trainings (internal) related to SHE topics.

**Your Profile**:

- Level of education & Experience in general
- Bio-engineer or industrial engineer in chemistry, biochemistry, environment
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a related field
- Formal degree of Prevention Advisor (level 2), degree as Environmental Coordinator (level B) is a plus.
- Technical skills
- Dutch and English fluently written and spoken
- Computer skills required: knowledge of Microsoft office, MS word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Outlook.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills (with external stakeholders as well as all levels of employees)
