**An organisation needs reliable and accessible data to be able to make better decisions. Consequently, we have major ambitions in this field. As a Data Governance Specialist, you can play an important part. Will you accept the challenge?**

You will join a brand-new, growing team of data stewards, data quality engineers and data architects. You will become the main contact for questions about data for a specific domain.

These will be your tasks:

- You help to make sure we can start with high-quality data. Any issues? You identify the cause and find a solution.
- You validate logical data models and evaluate whether they meet the business expectations.
- You describe, maintain and explain data elements within your area of responsibility by means of lineage, metadata sources and data dictionaries.
- You cooperate closely with software engineers and data quality engineers to implement and manage data topics in the most efficient way.
- You consult with the information steward to have an idea of the information needs and you translate them into concrete data needs.
- You help the information steward realise the information quality objectives by solving data incidents and problems.
- You contribute to impact analyses on existing and new data models.

You will work in Halle and can work from home up to 3 days a week or in one of our regional offices (Mechelen, Haasrode, Zwijnaarde,...).

**Profiel**:

- **Knowledge and experience** - You have a master's degree in IT or you are an industrial engineer IT. You have 3 to 5 years experience in data management and you have knowledge about metadata and lineage. You understand data management concepts and you are familiar with data governance for instance.
- ** Strong communication** - You can cooperate smoothly with several colleagues, also from other departments and you can easily develop a network. You help ensure that the importance of proper data and information management is recognised within Colruyt Group. You always persevere, even when you meet with opposition.
- ** Concept and analysis** - You can translate operational frameworks and new ideas into concrete activities.
- ** Accuracy** - You very precisely explain data elements using lineage and metadata repositories and you document this accurately.
- ** Languages** - You communicate fluently in Dutch and English in order to cooperate well with all your colleagues, partners and stakeholders.
