Finance Project Controller

**We are looking for**:

- A Project Controller supporting the energy transition of Solvay and key industrial projects.

**We count on you for**:

- Leading and having the ownership of the projects business plans to ensure sound assumptions and profitability assessment.
- Partnering with the Projects Directors and key stakeholders and also the Head of Energy Transition Program.
- Challenging in a constructive way the projects assumptions and the associated risk level to facilitate the decision making process.
- Supporting the preparation of the finance challenge and formulating a recommendation (favorable/unfavorable), sensitivity analysis, etc, this in the frame of the investment committees at Group level.
- Coordinating with other stakeholders in Finance for specific technical topics (Group Accounting, Treasury, etc) and/or for alignment.
- Working in close collaboration with the Finance function.
- Transitioning the project to the Site Controller once it has been approved/launched and reaching operational status.
- Supporting harmonization and consistency on the way projects are assessed (benchmark, sharing best practices).
- Providing financial guidance and insights, clearly communicating about the overall status of the projects.
- Ensure efficient processes and reliability of figures.
- Ensuring compliance with IFRS norms as needed.
- Supporting management and arbitrage of CAPEX for the SA&D GBU.
- Performing potential ad-hoc analysis across GBUs for Solvay (VC/FC, specific zoom, CFROI (Cash Flow Return On Invested capital).
- Being a leader in the Group transformation, supporting on all financial topics to ensure the cultural change, providing key insights and rallying people around efforts.

**You will bring**:

- University degree, preference in Business Administration / Finance
- Minimum 5 years experience in Controlling/Finance
- Experience in Project Controlling (profitability assessment), FP&A, good understanding of standard costing, variances, P&L, price volume cost analysis, cost accounting.
- SAP knowledge, IFRS, strong international exposure and network, Solvay internal rules: Tax, TP, Reporting, etc
- English fluency
- Experience in Business Partnering
- Strong ability to challenge the Status Quo

- Good communications skills to present and explain financial information to various levels of the organization
