Accountant Hands-on Role in a Thriving Start-up

We are actively looking for an Accountant for one of our clients, active in the food industry and located in Brussels centrum.
Our client is a fast-growing start-up company. With several locations across major cities in Belgium, the brand has built a strong reputation for quality, atmosphere and consistent growth.

Our partner is looking for an Accountant with the potential to grow within the role and evolve alongside the company.
Your role will evolve progressively. It will begin with core operational tasks such as accounting entries and maintaining the relationship with the external accounting firm. Over time, more responsibilities will be brought in-house. Eventually, the position will expand to include controlling duties, allowing the CFO to focus on more strategic matters.
**Function**:
- Manage AP/AR, invoice processing and bank reconciliations
- Oversee procurement administration and cash flow monitoring
- Be the main point of contact for the external partners
- Coordinate data for closings and tax filings
- Contribute to ongoing projects: process improvements, tool optimization and gradual internalization of accounting tasks
**Profile**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 2 years of experience in Accounting. A first experience in fiduciary environment is a big plus
- You speak French fluently and have a professional proficiency in English
- You are adaptable and autonomous, able to navigate a fast-moving environment
- You thrive in growing and evolving structures
- You take ownership of your work, demonstrate strong initiative and enjoy finding solutions rather than waiting for instructions
