Innovation Manager

**Description Overview**:
The purpose of the role of Innovation Manager is to identify and develop innovation opportunities in order to broaden the company’s product and brand portfolio. The innovation manager is also responsible for the scientific and clinical support for the portfolio.

**Scope of the Role**:

- Assess and screen all new worldwide projects within the assigned business unit and turn them into practical opportunities. Follow up the in-house or external developments.
- Analyze the existing portfolio of brands and products for the assigned business unit, harmonize and propose optimizations.
- Translate the latest trends in your domain of expertise into innovative propositions for new products (by seeking licenses, new formulas,).
- Provide scientific & clinical support to the other functions & affiliates for the product portfolio.

**Experience Required**:
**Minimum Qualification**:

- Master degree in a scientific field (preferably Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicine, Bio-Sciences, Chemistry,) or equivalent by experience.

**Minimum Work Experience**:

- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar role or minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar role (junior).
- Previous experience with Weight Management products and Medical Devices and is a plus.

**Person Profile**:

- Strong technical background as well as a strong affinity for commercial aspects (OTC / FMCG).
- Entrepreneurial analyst with creative ideas and a strong sense for analysis.
- Sufficient search skills to track down new product innovations online through up-to-date networks.
- Excellent knowledge of medical devices, cosmetics, medicines, food supplements their legal / regulatory aspects.
- Well-organized communicator who likes to take ownership.
- You can work with cross-functional teams and you are able to collaborate closely with other departments.
- You will occasionally travel to the various regions where Perrigo is operational.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
