Position Summary**
The HR Business Partner supports the Business Growth of their scope by identifying and managing the resources that hold the timely, competitive and diverse capabilities needed by the Business. They ensure these resources have a strong commitment to ITW values, and the potential to grow and to make the Business grow profitably.
The HR Business Partner therefore facilitates the Full Potential Performance by driving the organizational and people strategy hand in hand with the Business leaders.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Partnering with the DACH (Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland)/BNL (Belgium & Netherlands) Business & SMPD (Product Marketing and Product Development) Leaders to support the delivery of business objectives
- Partnering with local managers on: On-boarding, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Succession Planning, Organisation Design, Compensation Analysis, Skills Frameworks and Proactive Talent Management and Talent Development
- Drive and lead for BNL & Dach Legal Entity all administrative activities (payroll, training, budget, safety), including German Works Council. Implementation of the local policies and procedures in keeping with local legal requirements
- Act as a champion for the business culture and become an expert in the ITW business model
- A key actor in helping the Business in a transition phase, and bringing the DACH and Benelux teams together
- A key contributor to formulating business strategy through business analysis.
- Key contributor to shape the organisational design to meet strategic goals
- Support Continental HR Director on Divisional initiatives (ex: HR Drive on Customer-Back-Innovation, D&I agenda)
- Lead & Develop their direct report
**Qualifications**:
Experience and Education
- High academic record with a Bachelor’s degree and HR qualifications.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven HR Business partnering and delivering results in a medium to large international company.
- Experience of working with commercial businesses, demonstrating a strong commercial mindset
- Demonstrable development of talent, succession planning and organizational changes
- Proven success in driving German and/or Belgium social relations
Soft Skills:
- Strong Business appetite. Ability to build credibility within a business, to be able to partner strongly with managers.
- Real team player able to establish credibility with and influence all levels.
- Outcome focused, adopting an 80/20 approach to HR activities.
- Experience using data to make business insights and then implementing actions around it. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability.
- Finance acumen to understand the business stakes
- Subtle approach of Social Relations, knowledgeable on how to influence and synthetise key messages for success
- A hands-on approach to getting things done with desire to have an impact.
- Willingness to travel to different business sites when required (approx. 30%).
- Fluent English, German - French and Dutch a plus
