Head of Category Management Belux

**What you will be doing**:

- You will oversee the development of a clear Portfolio Strategy (putting together priorities for the 6 Business Units - Laundry, Dish, Cooling, Cooking, SDA as well as Accessories & Consumables). Local & international input will need to be reviewed to define priorities, national product assortment (line-up and pricing), focus channels & activation to deliver the required turnover, sales units and profitability for the country and all the attached subsidiaries.
- Build strong insights to ultimately inform our local category strategy based on local market research & available data (e.g. GfK-data, competitor information, customer feedbacks, consumer insights).
- Lead Business Reviews across the different categories: review performance of the portfolio, identify its drivers, as well as suggest course-corrections to meet the annual targets.
- Lead the development of the annual category & portfolio plan across the 4P’s - including line-up, pricing, channel priorities (on & offline - incl direct sales) & activation needs based on market requirements.
- Translate the Miele portfolio & category strategy into a strong story to trade.
- Be the key contact person for Belux, together with the respective Category Manager
- for our Headquarter teams: you will feed in the local strategy & needs, share information in terms of competition, new products, new campaigns etc.
- to import & export Best Practices
- Optimize the way the team works on transversal topics such as our national promotional approach across the categories & channels, interactions with Demand Planning, BNL alignment, etc.
- Develop clear business briefs for the Brand Marketing Team (who leads the development of support campaigns) as well as the Digital Performance Mkt & E-commerce Team (who will translate Category objectives into digital performance marketing plans & E-commerce plans) to ensure we build relevant activation plans.

**The Head of Category Management we are looking for**:

- Has a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant study field.
- Has at least 7 years of work experience in Brand Management, Category Management or a similar role, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar Catman role.
- Familiar with RGM (revenue growth management), Promotional Strategy.
- Is an expert in translating data from various sources into insights.
- Knows how to create strategy and good storytelling based on strong insights.
- Can interpret a P&L and take action accordingly.
- Is an inspiring people manager who knows how to bring out the best in people.
- Is outgoing, a fluent communicator and result driven.
- Solid collaborator & influencer, used to working in an international set-up.
- Is a strong decision maker with commercial business feel.
