For a client, we are actively looking for a Junior Accountant (AY/AP/AR) in South Brussels.
An international law firm based in Brussels is looking for a Junior Accountant to strengthen its Finance & Accounting team.
You will join a well-structured finance department within a large office environment, working alongside experienced colleagues. This role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting activities and the opportunity to grow progressively within a demanding yet supportive setting.
Accuracy, autonomy and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, professional environment are key to succeeding in this position.
Role:
As part of the finance team, you will contribute to the day-to-day accounting operations, including:
- Managing accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, bank reconciliations, and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Overseeing accounts payable activities, such as processing supplier invoices and expense-related costs
- Providing general financial and administrative support to the department
- Participating in ad hoc projects and contributing to process improvement initiatives as needed
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT filings
- Supporting monthly and year-end closing processes Profile: You are someone who feels comfortable in a structured, professional environment and who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Accountant
- Excellent level of Dutch (C1 minimum):
- Minimum B2 level of Frenchand minimum B1 level of English:
- Solid skills in MS Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with ERP or financial systems is an asset
- Knowledge of Belgian GAAP:
- Assertive, reliable and detail-oriented
- Quick learner with a proactive mindset - Offer:
