Functional Analyst

**Description**:
As a senior generic Functional Analyst, you have over 5 years of experience in managing the functional design of information systems:

- You create the concept and manage the planning for preliminary analysis and design phase;
- You perform the functional analysis of information systems and draw up the functional design after the prestudy;
- You support changes and enhancements from development through production;
- You recommend and implement system enhancements;
- You develop new program requirements and specifications to support specific customer needs;
- You support system upgrades and resolve problems with current systems;
- You analyse service requests to determine feasibility, technological changes, resource requirements and project time estimates.

You have the following core competences : Agile Methodologies, Analytical thinking, Collaborating, Data driven, IT Security, Software development.

This position is situated in our client Securities Services, where we take care of the entire securities processing value chain (brokerage, settlement, processing of corporate actions, ), for clients as well as professional external clients (other financial institutions, wealth managers, fund managers).

We are known for our quality and expertise - being the reference in securities services - and we are continuously following up on innovations and trends in the market to stay in the game with our competitors. We offer a full platform solution (Business Process Outsourcing) for other financial institutions in Belgium, taking over their operations so they can focus on their clients.
As functional analyst you play a crucial role in ensuring that software systems meet the needs and expectations of our business users. You bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, and contribute to the successful delivery of IT-projects.

**Your Responsibilities**

As a functional analyst you:

- Gather and analyses business requirements from stakeholders
- Document the functional requirements and create detailed specifications
- Collaborate with technical colleagues and other team members to ensure the requirements are understood and implemented correctly
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to evaluate the potential solutions
- Participate in system testing and quality assurance activities
- Provide support and guidance to end-users during the implementation and post-implementation phases

You will be teammember of one of our 7 development teams or RUN team of our ART Securities Services. Your focus will be on the subdomain covered by your team though we encourage cross-teamwork either.

- You have affinity with securities or would like to get acquainted and are motivated to broaden your knowledge
