**The Channel Manager** for **residential solutions** will gather business requirements that enable the development of new or improved products for use in a domestic setting. The Channel Manager will work in tandem with the colleague catering for professional solutions and with a group of Subject matter Experts and various internal units.

The Channel Manager for residential solutions is responsible for the products Home and Mobile throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept to sale to support. With a market in very rapid expansion, the evolution of those 2 products to anticipate customer requirements is a key success factor for Powerdale.

**Role & responsibilities**
- Formulate the strategy and operational objectives for the allocated products and translate them into a successful product business plan to optimise the profit, turnover, and market position of the organisation.
- Analyse the market evolutions and external trends (in current and target markets) by means of market research to elaborate or adjust the product business plan and make sales forecasts based on the conclusions.
- Investigate legal and regulatory requirements impacting our products, as well as qualifications with regards to grants and other support measures in the various markets.
- Study and analyse the consumer’s wishes and needs on the one hand and the competition’s product range on the other hand to initiate and realise product renewal. Invent and develop new products in close collaboration with product designers and engineers to optimally meet the current and future needs of the market.
- Structure product improvements by being the interface between Development and Customer Support.
- Synthesize business requirements, identify areas of uncertainty, recommend solutions, gather buy-in from relevant stakeholders, roll out the solution to the teams, shepherd features through development and review the product before rollout.
- Contribute to the thought process and realisation of promotions, publicity, and commercial actions in close consultation with the sales and marketing department to optimise the customer base and profit of the organisation.
- Collect and analyse information on product performance and develop comprehensive product roadmaps to correctly inform internal and external stakeholders.
- Advise other departments concerned (Production, Sales, Customer Support) based on acquired experience and knowledge in support of decision-making in the different departments.

**What do we expect from you?**:

- Knowledge of consumer electronics and mechanical design. Previous experience in Electric Vehicle Support Equipment is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams/business units and IT to clarify user stories, resolve issues and remove impediments that might be preventing the team from achieving its sprint goal.
- Ability to partner with Subject Matter Experts to develop comprehensive roadmaps and technical requirements that result in the development of superior products.
- Substantial experience working with matrixed and distributed teams to accomplish goals in a small organization with many technical experts working on a large variety of topics.
- Experience in product lifecycle management
- Organizational and leadership abilities, able to structure things
- Experience in program/project management is a plus
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of firmware and software development is preferred.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Creative thinking skills, combined with curiosity and openness to the market
- Experience using collaboration tools including Odoo and Redmine is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Marketing, or similar area. Master’s degree preferred.
