**Who Are We?** We manage the financial operations of several hotels, including:
- Marriott Ghent
- Residence Inn by Marriott Ghent
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ghent
- Courtyard by Marriott Ghent (opening October 2025)
- Scala Meeting Centre & Arno Restaurant (opening October 2025)
Based in both the city centre of Ghent and Akkerhage, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple locations
**Your Impact**
As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our hotel cluster. You’ll handle daily revenue verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable, VAT compliance, banking transactions, and much more. You’ll work closely with our finance team and report to the **Director of Finance**.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- ** Income Audit** - Ensure all hotel revenue is correctly recorded and monitored.
- ** Accounts Receivable** - Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments.
- ** Accounts Payable & VAT Compliance** - Process supplier invoices and manage VAT compliance.
- ** Banking & Cash Management** - Post payments, reconcile bank transactions, and manage cash flow forecasts.
- ** Cost Control** - Support expense monitoring and stock control.
- ** General Accounting Duties** - Assist with budgeting, reporting, and compliance with Belgian accounting standards.
**What You Need to Succeed**
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management (or relevant experience).
- At least **1 year of experience** in accounting, front office, or night audit within the hotel industry.
- Knowledge of **Belgian accounting standards and VAT regulations**.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail (because numbers don’t like mistakes).
- Proficiency in **Excel and financial software** (Opera PMS experience is a plus).
- Fluent in **English and Dutch** (other languages are a bonus, but Excel formulas count too).
- A positive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to multitask.
- A team player who can also work independently - we love self-starters
