This internship at Toyota Motor Europe in Brussels focuses on supporting the digitalisation and automation of vehicle supply chain and workshop operations. The role involves developing data management solutions, creating digital tools to track shopfloor training and skills, and using platforms such as Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and BI to improve efficiency. The intern will collaborate with stakeholders across Europe, collect operational needs, and help implement digital solutions that enhance delivery performance, reduce non-value-added tasks, and support continuous improvement in production and logistics processes.

responsibilities:
Team/division description As part of vehicle logistics, ‘Transport & Workshop Quality Engineering team’ we are responsible for the best level of delivery and accessory fitting, located across Europe. Our objective is to:
- Ensure on time delivery to the customer to the correct quality standard.
- Design the assembly process that should be applied in all Workshops
- Implement the process through provision of Equipment & Training Your project As Vehicle Supply Chain, we are going through an automation/digitalization phase, and it will be one of our focus points in the upcoming years. You will be directly working with the team manager to transform processes and tools by
- Propose and develop data management solutions to maximise benefits from digital production systems on shopfloor.
- Define, develop and implement a digital tool to track trainings skills on shopfloor and ensure skills validation while removing Non-Value Added tasks.
- Contribute to other digital projects which are being developed in parallel by utilizing Share point, Power Automate, Power Apps and any other mean of automation.
- Collect and understand needs from members on shopfloor and develop KPIs through BI to enhance continuous improvement of operations and support business.
- Review & follow-up with all the stakeholders from European workshops to build consensus and ensure successful implementation of digital solutions.
Your Profile
We are looking for an engineering or and related programme’s student who can bring fresh ideas to our team with
- An interest in programming and business intelligence
- An interest in manufacturing operations and Toyota methodologies (TPS, FMDS, Kaizen )
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- A familiarity with MS Office, MS Share point, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI
- Curiosity to learn new ways of working
- High teamwork spirit
- Being able to travel within EU Place of employment
- Belgium
- Brussels (Evere): Toyota Motor Europe, Head Office (With flexibility to travel Hubs across Europe if necessary). Starting date: ASAP Duration: 6 months Confidentiality It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship. We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
