**SENIOR ACCOUNTANT**

SCABEL aims to develop activities in the retail sector, both in Belgium and abroad, particularly within the territory of the European Union. This includes negotiating, ordering, purchasing, and reselling all services related to the supply of goods, commodities, and related equipment. SCABEL is dedicated to providing a portion of the products for the leading retailer in France, holding a 21.6% market share.

**By joining us, you will be entrusted with the following main responsibilities**:

- Recording and performing reconciliation statements and balance reconciliations, including their justifications.
- Ensuring and justifying specific accounting tasks (expenses, tax declarations, etc.).
- Practicing cost accounting and collaborating with the management control department.
- General Accounting:

- Closing and monitoring general accounts - fixed assets, provisions, accrued expenses, etc.
- Interacting with third parties - auditors, public authorities, statistical surveys.
- Monitoring tax matters (VAT/Corporate Income Tax) - VAT: BE/PT/FR/PL.
- Intercompany reconciliation, etc.
- Supervising two accountants (one handling General Accounting at a medium level and the other at a junior level).
- Identifying errors, investigating their sources, proposing solutions, and meeting deadlines for monthly/quarterly/yearly closing.

**Your profile**:
You should have a background in accounting and a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position, with proven knowledge of taxation. You are motivated by challenges and can tackle any obstacle. Additionally, you possess the following qualities:

- Autonomy, proactivity, and critical thinking.
- Curiosity, positivity, and a team spirit.
- Excellent adaptability.
- Expertise in intercompany transactions, general accounting, XLS, and VAT.
- Analytical mindset, organized, and meticulous. - Experience in ERP implementation and project management.
- Respect for the confidentiality of processed information.
- Good IT skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel (Expert). Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus.
