Going-there Global Destination Services, a relocation company based in London with a fast growing network of operations in more than 100 cities around the world, is looking for a Destination Services Coordinator in Brussels, Belgium.
We offer
a service you might wish you had received, when you relocated there. This is a freelance, project-based (_occasional work_). It is a flexible agreement, not a full-time or part-time employment position. The coordinator works with assignees for 1-5 day packages (the days do NOT run concurrently). You must have access to a car and be able to drive in the city and have been living there for more than one year. The ability to drive with the client to suburban areas for home viewings if needed is required. This is a partially remote role, with some of the work being done from a home office (or anywhere with an internet connection), and some work being done in person with the client around the Brussels area.
- Desired Skills & Expertise:_ Being a Destination Coordinator**: The position combines a genuine desire to help people, and local coordination with hands-on guidance, helping families navigate every aspect of settling into their new city. You'll:
- Act as the single point of contact, ensuring each family feels supported and understood.
- Have excellent knowledge of your city’s neighbourhoods, schools and local real estate practices; build and maintain relationships with estate agents and schools; source and arrange property viewings, explain the local rental process and assist with lease review and property handover.
- Facilitate practical essentials like utilities, banking or a driving licence.
- Provide orientation on transport, shopping, recreation and community life.
- Have cultural sensitivity, strong organisational abilities and exceptional communication skills.
- Be personable with a positive attitude
- Have excellent knowledge of the Englisch language as well as good knowledge of the French and Flemish language.
- Have a personal workspace and reliable technology.
- Be on-time regardless of traffic or other barriers, able to formulate a concise plan regardless of limited info provided, and have a direct approach in communication style.
- Have a professional demeanor as it is an important part of the role, as our coordinators often work with executives who are relocating to Brussels. You will be making an often anxious assignee and their family feel at home. You will be a friendly face on a foreign place. Previous work in the relocation industry is preferable. This role is best described as occasional project work. It is a good fit for someone who likes that sort of work style, but _is not a good fit for someone who needs consistent work hours_.
