- Tasks:
Customer Segmentation
- Design and maintain customer segmentation models to identify high-value accounts and opportunity segments
- Translate segmentation outputs into clear service and go to market strategies and prioritisation frameworks for the sales team.
- Continuously refine segmentation approaches in line with customer and market dynamics and strategic priorities. Sales Insights & Reporting
- Analyse sales performance across regions, channels, customer segments, and product lines to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work with Finance to define and develop dashboards and reporting tools that give real-time visibility into key commercial KPIs — including pipeline health, revenue attainment, win/loss rates, and cost to serve.
- Conduct ad hoc deep-dive analyses to support commercial decisions such as pricing, territory planning, and go-to-market strategy. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, business-relevant manner.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on data definitions, reporting standards, and commercial priorities.
- Serve as the go-to expert on customer and market data within the Commercial Excellence function. Data Quality & Governance
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of sales and customer data used for analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.
- Document methodologies and maintain a library of reusable models and templates. - Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales analytics, commercial analytics, or business intelligence — ideally within a B2B manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Proven experience in customer segmentation and translating analytical outputs into commercial recommendations.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and preferred at least one BI platform (e.g., Power BI).
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical, senior audiences.
- Fluency in English Preferred
- Experience with CRM platforms, particularly Dynamics.
- Exposure to advanced data analysis (e.g., clustering, regression, propensity scoring).
- Background in the packaging, food manufacturing, or broader FMCG industry. - Powers of the Position and Success Criteria: Decision-Making Authority
- Owns the design and maintenance of customer segmentation models and sales reporting frameworks.
- Recommends commercial actions based on analytical findings
- Operates with a high degree of autonomy within the scope of the Commercial Excellence function. Success Criteria
- Quality and adoption of segmentation models by the sales organisation.
- Timeliness, accuracy, and business impact of sales insights and dashboards.
- Measurable contribution to commercial outcomes — e.g., improved customer targeting, pipeline growth, or sales efficiency.
- Stakeholder satisfaction with analytical outputs and cross-functional collaboration.
