Credit Controller

Controlling and monitoring client balances and be a contact person between client and company.

**Necessary Duties and Responsibilities include the following**:

- Monitor outstanding client balances by methodically checking receivables and by taking appropriate action according to procedures, as well as proactively generating alternatives for further action.
- Take contact with customers to collect overdue invoices and proactively work towards a solution.
- Reconcile payments to outstanding invoices.
- Have regular contacts with the sales force in order to secure faster payment of invoices.
- Independently deliver timely and correct client receivable reports for internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and sent out Bi-weekly customer statements.
- Assist on implementation of policies and procedures, control environment.

**Relationships and Roles**:

- Report directly to the financial controller BG2B/B2C.

**Job Specifications**:

- You have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting or economics) and a strong interest in administration and debt management.
- You have relevant experience in credit control.
- You have experience in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,), knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- You have strong oral communication and negotiation skills in Dutch, French and English; Spanish would be a big plus.
- You feel comfortable liaising with customers and internal stakeholders.
- You can work autonomously and manage your own portfolio, following processes and procedures.
- Furthermore, you have problem solving and positive mindset.
- You are a team player and work closely together with the finance team in Belgium and the AR lead in Costa Rica.
