Financial Controller

We are looking for a **Financial Controller** to join our team that is responsible for the financial closing for the Belgium entities in Lineage. You will be part of a team that performs operational accounting, financial reporting, business partnering and much more. Our site is based in Kruipin Harbour, Kallo, Antwerp.

Job Summary:
As a Financial controller in Lineage, you will work with multiple stakeholders from both business control and the European corporate accounting team in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for accurate period end closing for the legal entities within Belgium. As we are in the middle of an integration phase, we highly prioritize developing, implementing and improving our financial closing process. And for that we need you on the team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the month end closing tasks and financial reporting for the legal entities in Belgium;
- Internal month end closing process including analytical procedures, period end closing tracker, account reconciliations.
- Being the link between finance and the business control department
- Ensure alignment between operational finance objectives and effective and efficient period end closing process
- Responsible for managing the process of the external audit for group and statutory purposes
- Improvement projects to ensure proper internal control framework
- Supporting Workday (financial ERP system) integration and enhancement projects
- Assist the consultant in preparing the income and indirect tax declarations
- Keeping yourself informed about changes in regulation, accounting and other relevant financial topics.

You will have a significant impact on the topics as we are in the middle of building the structure and the foundation. Your input will therefore be important in the process of building best in class Finance processes.

Qualifications:

- You have at least 4 years’ experience in a similar position or within auditing or Financial Control.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Advanced IT skills like ERP-systems, we are using Workday Finance.
- Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.

As a person, you are goal-oriented, structured, and a dedicated team player with strong analytical skills. You take ownership of your projects and are driven by a professional curiosity. You are a good communicator and have excellent stakeholder management skills. You are used to and able to work in a fast-paced work environment with strict deadlines.
