Join our dynamic packaging team as a Chemical Specialist Glass Packaging and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the glass packaging technologies at our client in Leuven.

**Job description**
You'll lead global projects aimed at achieving breakthroughs in cost savings, capital expenditure avoidance, carbon footprint reduction, and product quality enhancement. As the company's go-to expert on glass packaging, you'll spearhead the design and delivery of cutting-edge solutions.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for overall platform tracking and monitoring
- Focusing on the full supply chain: glass chemistry, glass packaging design and specifications, glass packaging manufacturing, glass packaging filling and glass packaging transport
- Daily collaboration with internal (engineering, procurement) and external (universities, suppliers, institutes) partners
- Responsible to identify, scope and verify new technologies and opportunities
- Lead execution of feasibility, development and first implementation through multifunctional teams and on the field presence

**Profile**
- Relevant scientific Master's or PhD degree
- 5-10 years profound professional technical expertise on glass converting
- In depth understanding of glass bottle chemistry, glass bottle packaging design/specifications and glass bottle filling
- DOE (Design of Experiment) or Six Sigma (Black Belt, Green Belt) certified, or equivalent trough experience
- Experience and passion for front end technologies
- Strong ability to lead and manage projects and project portfolio with high level of complexity
- Strong communication skills, perseverance, agility, ownership behaviour
- Fluent in English
