As a Legal entity controller/accountant at Envalior, you will be part of the team that is responsible for monitoring and reporting in line with the international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and tax regulations. You will support the financial processes across the organization including performing day-to-day accounting activities, monthly and quarterly financial closing, audits and other local compliance, budget and forecasting. You will actively evaluate business transactions for recognition, valuation and reporting requirements, contributing to the integrity and reliability of our financial statements. Additionally, you’ll embrace a pioneering spirit, exploring new methods to enhance our accounting processes and techniques.

Your key responsibilities will be:

- Providing input for local and group financial statements, in order to enable preparation in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and existing local and fiscal law to obtain clean audit opinions.
- Assist in implementing processes and policies to improve the performance of current month-end and year-end closing.
- Ensuring delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for assigned reporting unit(s) within strict deadlines.
- Prepare local statutory reporting for certain entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal guidelines and local GAAP. This includes the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, explanatory notes, and technical delivery of datasets on a monthly, quarterly, yearly or project base for both IFRS and local GAAP.
- Assisting in the preparation of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Preparation correction postings related to different balance sheet positions, e.g. payroll, taxes, provisions, accruals.
- Analyzing and reconciling balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
- Preparing and submitting BE GAAP reports
- Acting as a contact for group functions, business units, external auditors and other stakeholders.
- Analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and explanatory notes.

**Requirements**:
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Financial Management or Accounting.
- Min. 3 years of experience in accounting, financial management or within an audit firm
- Demonstrated hands-on approach with strong ownership of a wide range of financial topics
- Excellent communication skills with a strong business partner mindset
- Possess a solid understanding of General Ledger and a strong motivation to continuously learn and improve
- Good knowledge of IFRS and BE GAAP
- Proficiency in working with SAP ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Experience in working with internal and external service providers
- You can work independently within strict deadlines
- Good knowledge of Flemish and English.
