International Junior Project Leader

For our Asset Delivery department at our office in Brussels (near to Central Station and subway, see the map here) we’re looking for an **International Junior Project Leader** (M/F/x).

**purpose**:
In connection with Fluxys' green transition strategy, as an International Junior Project Leader you will assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing projects outside Europe. The job will involve working in an international environment.

**Your**
**responsibilities**:

- You will work at large facilities such as import or export terminals, liquefaction units, compressor stations and cracking units, where you will assist the Project Manager and/or take responsibility for some packages within the project. For smaller projects, you might take overall responsibility for the project
- The projects may be wholly owned by Fluxys, or in consortium with other companies
- You will take part in EPC or EPCM management, construction of large and complex projects, commissioning and handover to operations
- You might be involved in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) to ensure a smooth transition between the development phase and the implementation phase after the final investment decision (FID) is taken
- During the construction phase you will supervise the EPC contractor, or you will manage the different contractors on site
- The project team is responsible for contractual monitoring of contractors
- As part of a project team, you will be responsible for the timing, budget and quality of the delivered structure. As safety and respect for the environment are key values for Fluxys, you will help to provide safe and sustainable infrastructure, especially during construction
- You will prepare the handover to the operator and organise the required operator documentation and training of the operator's personnel
- You will maintain close communication and information lines with your direct report on site and with the project director
- You will expand your knowledge of the green transition (processes, technologies, engineering and operations, etc.) and your project management experience by being involved in a project team which could be deployed on other projects
- You will gain expertise, responsibility and autonomy on large and complex projects in an international environment and by being connected with other workstreams (business model, commercial, permitting, EPC, financing, etc.)
- You will contribute to knowledge management within the Fluxys group

- You hold a Master's degree in civil or industrial engineering
- You preferably have initial experience in project management (4-5 years) and/or construction
- Specific technical knowledge of green molecules would be a bonus

- You demonstrate autonomy, responsiveness and adaptability in a complex and highly demanding international environment
- You are innovative and think outside the box
- You have strong and effective communication skills enabling you to operate smoothly in a multicultural environment and cope with cultural differences
- You have an excellent command of English and a good knowledge of French and/or Dutch; knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic would be a plus
