Effixis is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our team for a master thesis internship. This opportunity will allow you to work alongside our team of experts in NLP, machine learning, and AI, gaining valuable experience and contributing to exciting, cutting-edge projects. As a master thesis student at Effixis, you will be responsible for conducting original research and developing novel approaches within the field of NLP, under the guidance of experienced mentors.

**Who You Are**:

- You are currently enrolled in a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science or applied mathematics.
- Excellent analytical skills, familiarity with various statistical methods, a strong foundation in mathematics, and experience in research studies.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Prior experience with NLP or LLMs and cloud deployment is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Want to work in a fast-paced atmosphere where you can engage with cutting-edge data and machine learning technologies.

**Key responsabilities**:

- Collaborate with Effixis team members to define the research question and objectives of your master thesis.
- Conduct a thorough literature review of existing state-of-the-art techniques in NLP and related areas.
- Develop and implement innovative models, algorithms, or techniques to address the research question.
- Analyse and interpret results, drawing insights and identifying opportunities for further improvement.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate your research findings into client projects or internal tools.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, ensuring the timely completion of your master thesis.
- Document your research findings and contribute to the publication of your work in.

**Requirements**:

- Affiliated to a Swiss or Belgian university.
