Senior Accountant

As the accountant you will report to the accounting and consolidation lead of the C&A Europe group. The main focus of your function will be the A-Z accounting and administration of the Luxembourg-based treasury & holding entities of the C&A EU Group.

**Your responsibilities at C&A**:

- Maintain the trial balance by accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger
- Preparation and on-time submission of all tax returns, tax
- and VAT declarations
- Preparation of the monthly management result reporting based on group instructions
- Preparation of the half-year and year-end IFRS reporting process for group consolidation purposes and the preparation of the statutory financial statements.
- Support accounting and consolidation lead on other group financial topics and projects such as:

- Consolidation support (e.g. intercompany reconciliations)
- Coordination of the accounting of Swiss group entities

**What we expect of you**:

- Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
- At lease 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.
- Good knowledge and understanding of basis accounting practices, preferably of IFRS and Luxembourg GAAP as a plus.
- Understanding of complicated legal and accounting structures.
- Good understanding of MS office tools (e.g. excel, ppt, word)
- Experienced in working with ERP systems, knowledge of SAP is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Language skills : fluent in English an French
