E&i Supervisor

The Services to be performed and responsibilities of the E&I SUPERVISOR OFFSHORE SUBSTATIONS include: -Your role:
Be part of the execution team that delivers an offshore high voltage substation. The core is to drive safe working in the different Electrical & Instrumentation assembly teams and the management and control of the E&I construction activities. Ensure that required tasks can be executed in accordance with the specifications, the regulations and the budget.

Your main responsibilities are:
HSE:
You are responsible for the safe execution of the works according the project HSE procedures and instructions. Drive a proactive safety culture in the execution team by:

- During your daily presence on the substation you compliment workers which are performing their job in a safe way and point out unsafe work methods to workers and inform them about potential risks.
- Be a leader in HSE;
- Make sure all works are carried out safely and according the permit to work;
- Participate actively in daily start work meetings, coordination meetings and toolbox meetings;
- Perform checks on PTW's and LMRA's and verify if all works are being executed in accordance with the measures as stated in the PTW's;
- Perform and report Safety Inspection Walks and issue Safety Observation Cards.

Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Control:

- Together with the construction manager, organize the flow of technical work packages between the work preparation department, subcontractor and the QC department;
- Supervise the execution of the E&I works performed by the different subcontractors or client personnel;
- Support the E&I subcontractors when issues occur with regards to design (technical feasibility) and material availability. Propose solutions and be the single point of contact between the subcontractors and the client engineering department;
- Make sure construction materials, consumables, scaffolding (modifications), cranes, cherry pickers etc. are requested in time by the subcontractors and be the point of contact of the subcontractor when certain extra construction materials are needed;
- Keep a good overview of the availability of cables on site and indicate when certain cable lengths become critical;
- Verify if progress reporting is performed correctly and in time.

Quality, Mechanical Completion
- 100% quality control by constantly performing quality checks and by organizing weekly quality walkarounds together with the E&I-supervision of the main subcontractor to verify if works are being delivered according the work packages and client standards (typicals);
- After completion of a work package, performing a final quality check and fill in the mechanical completion sheet together with the supervisor of the subcontractor;
- If applicable, performing a quantity check on the installed materials;

A non-exhaustive list of possible activities that the E&I supervisor has to deal with:

- Pulling ofLV andVLV cables. Check if:

- Tidiness is aimed during cable pulling activities (minimum of cables on the floor);
- Requirements are met with regards to LV - VLV separation (different cable trays or by installation of dividers);
- Cable bend radii is according specification;
- Cable dressing (tie wrapping) is performed according specification;
- Pulled overlengths at start and end of cables is according to requirement;
- Cable tags are installed according specification;
- Termination and testing ofLV andVLV cables. Check if:

- Cables are connected according to work packs and priority;
- Cable glands are installed according specification (EMC);
- Wire ferrules and ethernet connections are installed according work pack and specification;
- Proper dressing of cables inside electrical panels is executed;
- Cable
- and wire tags are installed according to work pack and specification
- Earthing and screens are connected according to specification;
- All required tests are performed and reported according to procedure;

- A solid experience in projects and construction management;
- Broad general technical knowledge and more specific specialized in electricity and instrumentation;
- Adequate knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation systems;
- Able to manage good relationships with the members of the client project team, client supervisors, JV-partners and subcontractors while monitoring client Solutions interests;
- Excellent communication skills: English & Dutch. Knowledge of French and/or German is definite
