**_ Head of Production, Logistics and Serynges_**:
**Job purpose**:

- Be responsible for the production operations of a Manufacturing Performance Unit (MPU)
- Manage the day-to-day vaccines manufacturing operations of the MPU to ensure the supply of vaccines or intermediate products in line with
- Demand (adherence to scheduled quantities)
- Budgeted cost Quality Objectives (compliance to GMP and GSK Standards & Policies, total quality culture)
- EHSS objectives
- Be a member of the MPU leadership team co-responsible for the MPU results and ensures personal and team objectives are aligned with MPU, Belgium Industrial Operations and GIO goals and objectives

**In this role, you will be responsible for the following areas **
- Production _
- Manage the day-to-day vaccines production operations within the Manufacturing Production Unit so as to cope with the demand: adapt production schedule based on 3 months / yearly plan and capacity investments when required by the 3-year plan.
- Organize and monitor performance progress efficiency of the production through Key Performance Indicators related to Quality, Budget, Delivery, Security, Employees, EHSS and Efficiency
- Continuously anticipate potential improvements of the current processes while assuring compliance with the Change Management procedures.
- Ensure that the production facility is maintained in an inspection readiness status in accordance with quality and EHSS standards, including Security and (Bio) Safety aspects in collaboration with the EHS manager and the manager in charge of infrastructure maintenance
- People & Organization_
- Lead, select, train, evaluate, coach and motivate a team of Managers and/or Supervisors and production staff towards the pursuit of supply excellence and the attainment of Good Manufacturing Practice
- Ensure optimal staffing levels and competencies are in place and ensure the retention, engagement and development of talent within the organization
- Personally role-model and develop the team towards high performance behaviors in line with the leadership framework.
- Engage the team to deliver the GSK Vaccines, GIO and Belgium Industrial Operations Strategy
- Ensure that the facility and equipment are appropriately designed, the staff is well trained, and a good planning and organization is in place to meet production, quality, cost and security targets and to facilitate the transfer of new processes from New Product Introduction.
- Quality / Regulatory_
- Ensure adherence of the operations to cGMP, Regulatory requirements and all GSK Quality
- Management Systems (QMS) policies and procedures as applicable
- Review of core file, regulatory files (e.g. BLA) to ensure accurate filing
- Monitor quality of the production in close collaboration with QC and Product/Process Team and take corrective actions when necessary
- Risk / Compliance _
- Ensure constant analysis of risks of the MPU related to production in order to secure unrestricted production capabilities at high quality standards
- Establish, enforce and maintain high standards of cGMP as well as an efficient and effective system of documentation so as to ensure compliance with GSK and regulatory requirements to satisfy any external audit for conformance
- Financial_
- Be responsible for preparing and meeting the annual budget (Opex, Capex, Headcount), forecast and manpower allocation for production matters
- Manage allocated budget
- Analyze write-offs and optimize working capital.
- Health, Security, Environment _
- Be responsible for the compliance with all applicable standards and policies
- Change and continuous improvement_
- Provide leadership for change initiatives which contribute to the overall effective improvement of GSK Vaccines manufacturing & supply.
- Ensure continuous improvement
- Implement new processes (including SLAs) to increase service levels and to enhance business performance
- Share and integrate best practices within the GSK Vaccines and wider GSK Manufacturing & Supply Network

**_ Why you? _**
- Qualifications & Skills:_
- Master’s degree in engineering (Civil engineer) or Industrial/Agricultural Engineer
- At least 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industry (of which at least 5 years in vaccine production)
- At least 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance environment
- Relevant experience in engineering/automation/project management
- Proven experience in people management
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Preferred Qualifications & Skills:_
- Advanced knowledge in biopharmaceutical technologies or equivalent experience.
- Good understanding of various industrial standards
- Knowledge of reliability maintenance, utilities operations, automation, calibration & measurement
