**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:

- A Master of Science (MSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in Information Engineering or Computer Sciences, or related discipline and 5 years post-related experience;
OR
- A Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in Information Engineering, Computer Sciences, or related discipline and 7 years post related experience;
OR
- Practical experience in the design, implementation, testing, operation of web platform systems in a LAN/WAN environment and configuration management and maintenance procedures;
- At least 5 years sound practical experience in web platform administration to include experience on operational support to the Portal systems in a LAN/WAN and complex information management environment;
- Sound experience and expertise in management of web platform systems (Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat).
- Practical experience in setting up strategies for backup, recovery and migration technologies;
- Knowledge of standard industry network Operating Systems and Database Management Systems concepts, and high availability architectures.
- Practical experience of the capabilities and features of network architectures and protocols, network software
- Holding ITIL V3/V4 Intermediate Level certificate;
**Duties/role**:

- Performing duties under the direction of the Service Area Owner Platforms as a Service;
- Delivering end-to-end Web Platform Services as per agreements established with customers;
- Communicating with project managers and customers, understanding of requirements and issues, and managing expectations;
- Preparing and presenting at Customer service performance reviews and in other committees and boards;
- Providing expert advice throughout all the phases of new developments of Web Platform Services, from planning to execution;
- Performing Day-to-day operations and maintenance (Incidents, problems, service requests, development and upkeep of service delivery documentation and operating procedures), on both NATO static networks and NATO exercise and operations, ensuring that service meets agreed customer requirements;
- Ensuring Continual Service Improvement (CSI) of existing Web Platform Services, determining effectiveness and suggesting/implementing improvement plans (capacity,
- technology);
- Analyzing risks and proactively reporting problems and suggesting solutions;
- Monitoring and Reporting on Service Performance to Customers as well as to NCIA line management;
- Representing Web Platform Services to Change Managers and in Change Advisory Boards in NCIA, and ensuring any change to Web Platform Services is properly coordinated with all parties in interaction with the service.
