- **Financial Analyst** to join our team, either in Belgium, The Netherlands or Germany. You will report to the Manager of Finance & Controller. This role is a fulltime position where there's a combination of remote working and traveling to our office sites when needed.**Context of the role**:
This position will be supporting the Northern Continent Industrial Gases business (commercial and supply chain) in achieving their commitments by providing meaningful financial analysis, accurate reporting and planning, and general financial advice together with an input into decision making.-
**Dimensions**:
The Northern Continent region generates more than a billion $ of revenue per year while delivering a solid Operating margin. It is formed by three main businesses: Liquid Bulk, Package Gases and Tonnage and covers France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, comprising several Tonnage and Liquid bulk plants, as well as Industrial cylinders, Helium and C02 filling facilities.**As our Financial Analyst, you will**:

- Contribute in achieving Operating Plan targets for the German Gases business and the NC sub-region:

- Month-end close review, results reporting, major factor preparation and analysis of monthly results and forecasting
- Prepare together with the regional management team the quarterly report package for the Business Area Reviews
- Responsible for preparation of the yearly Operating Plan, working closely with all areas of the business
- Proactive business support including elements like:

- Provide analysis on major operational / commercial projects - customer profitability, price/margin analysis, new business profitability analysis
- Monitor capex and facilitate cost control of the supply chain and plant operations.
- Contribute in business meetings and communicate effectively with the German IG business at all its levels
- Ownership of the “Cost to Serve” standards for the integrated gases business
- Support various projects on an ad-hoc basis
- Work with Supply Chain, Customer Engineering, Operations to help them understand cost performance, comparison to the prior year and Operating Plans
- Proactively engage with the team, highlighting cost trends and helping develop actions to correct performance
- Work with the team to support the identification of productivity programs, measuring impact/performance
- Keep a close link between the business unit and the Accounting and Shared Businesses Services organization for the region

**Your profile**:

- University degree in economics, business or engineering (MBA is a plus), or relevant financial qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
- Proven finance experience in operational analysis, covering the full P&L
- Prior business partnering experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good systems knowledge (SAP, Analysis/BW, BI tools) coupled with excellent Office skills
- Ability to learn and work effectively under pressure in a challenging fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with all levels within the organization including senior management and other functions
- Able to identify trends and issues and challenge in a constructive way
- Ownership: showing personal accountability and high degree of initiative
- A reliable attention to detail
- Fluency in English. A relevant second language is a plus
