**The IT department in Kortrijk has more than 20 employees and is organized in 2 teams: Infrastructure (networks & security, servers, virtual servers, storage, backup, Azure, Office 365 & Teams, clients, mobile clients) and Business Applications (CRM, ERP, CAD/PLM, CAD/CAM, MES/WMS, BI). Together with the IT suppliers, they provide IT services to the Vandewiele Group.**

**Your function**:
Vandewiele will implement new solutions for manufacturing (MES) and warehouse management (WMS), as a replacement for the current solution on AS400.

As a member of the Business Applications team, you will be responsible for the implementation of the new WMS for the Vandewiele Group, including the integration with MES and ERP. This new system is being implemented at our headquarters in Marke with the intention to deploy later at other European sites of the Group.

You will have the following responsibilities:

- You will delve into the business and production processes within Vandewiele and learn how the current system works.
- You will be responsible for the project during the analysis, implementation and go-live of the new system.
- You will be in close contact with various departments, IT teams and the supplier.
- You supervise the transition from the old to the new system, so that any problem is adequately investigated and solved.
- After the go-live, you will become the point of contact within the Vandewiele Group for WMS solutions and will be involved in WMS projects in the other branches.

You report to the IT Manager Business Applications.

**Your profile**:

- You have a Master's degree or equivalent through experience. Experience with IT systems in logistics or production environments is a necessity.
- You have a very strong interest in what is happening on the production floor and have a passion to link this to IT.
- You have a sharp analytical mind and you are able to analyze and solve complex problems.
- You are able to identify and leverage opportunities in digital transformation projects.
- You have strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders within the organization, including senior management, IT teams and external partners.
- You have experience in change management.
- You can express yourself in English. French is a plus.
- You are willing to travel to other sites of the Vandewiele Group (up to once a month for three days).
