**What will you be doing**

The Battery Materials Belgium Finance team is responsible for the follow-up, analysis and financial reporting of Battery Materials Belgium. We are looking to reinforce the team.
- You take care of specific financial closure tasks and you prepare the monthly financial KPI’s,
- You liaise with and provide operational background to the accounting department for tasks they perform in the monthly closing.
- You analyse the monthly result drivers and variance factors in comparison with forecast, budget, prior month and prior year and this for both profit & loss statement & balance sheet and you provide input to the Financial Planning & Analysis manager Europe for the monthly financial reporting
- For specific requests, you create and elaborate on financial reports for internal purposes in order to enable accurate and more detailed analysis and to assist in good decision-making by management
- You perform a critical analysis of the established reports & make suggestions for reporting improvements
- You support the technical teams when it comes to testing new developments in SAP & in our reporting tools.
- You are able to answer questions from the company auditors about accounting entries
- You provide support on answering questions from BU consolidation
- You follow-up on pending open topics during the month in a timely and structured way
- You report to the BM Financial Planning & Analysis manager Europe.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or in another closely related financial field
- You have 4-6 years experience in accounting & financial analysis & reporting.
- You have an analytical mind; you are flexible, accurate and you can prioritize in accordance with the deadlines for financial closure
- You work in an efficient and structured way and are result-oriented
- You have sound knowledge of English, both spoken and written
- You have sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel). Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- You are willing to learn new things and to continuously improve yourself
