**About the role
- With a recent fundraising of 80 million euros with Goldman Sachs and Eurazeo, Malt is opening an office in Belgium. As part of the initial launch team we are looking for a Community Development intern to help implement and scale the business.

Community is central to nearly everything we do at Malt. As the Community Developer you focus on growing the size of our community while serving as the voice of the freelancer to both local and global teams.

You will work closely with our local team in Belgium as well as with the community team at headquarters. Together you will develop concepts and growth strategies to bring together and grow the freelancer community. Your key task will be to help us find the best freelance talent out there, inspire them to join Malt, and turn them into enthusiastic ambassadors of our vision.

**As a Community builder intern, your mission will be**:

- Engage with online communities on non-Malt channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Meetup, etc.) to facilitate engagement, awareness, and acquisition;
- Proactively search for and recruit top freelance talent on other channels (LinkedIn, meetups, etc.) to entice them to join Malt;
- Build and leverage relationships with freelance influencers, particularly in the technology space;
- Identify and recruit high-potential freelance talent to use Malt;
- Assist in setting up networking events and other high-touch activities;
- Conduct regular onboarding calls to get to know new registrants and help them get started;
- Identify relevant channels to reach new freelancers and work with the marketing team to properly leverage them;
- Gather and share feedback with the sales, marketing, and product teams about freelance needs, product improvements, and marketing messaging;
- Ensure that the work we do with our freelancers delivers strong value to freelancers while also growing our business.

**Preferred experience**:

- You want to learn about the driving strategy and operations of successful startups
- You’re completing your Bachelor in business, management or any other related department and willing to do a minimum of 4 months of internship
- You speak french and have a good level in English. Dutch is a plus but not a prerequisite
- You are proactive, independant and eager to learn and acquire new skills
- You have excellent communication skills and you are obsessed with spelling and grammar
- You have great organizational and project management skills, you never miss an appointment

**Our Recruitment process**:

- Interview with Gaelle your future manager, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (60 minutes)
- Home assignment to prepare in order to evaluate your hard skills
- A final interview with Malik, country Manager
