Enterprise Data/knowledge Architect

To champion our commitment to a robust data driven research organization, we are in search of an Enterprise Data/Knowledge Architect to help shape our vision of “researchers are finding the right information without searching”. As an enterprise Data/Knowledge Architect, you will be at the forefront of inventory impactful data/insights and their interoperability, combining internal and external data, ensuring that insights are not only discoverable but also reusable across various units within and outside the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish and maintain data models that facilitate the seamless combination of internal and external insights.
- Design and implement data/knowledge architecture strategies that seamlessly integrate internal and external data sources.
- Manage the VITO knowledge graph, ensuring its effectiveness in capturing, organizing, and delivering valuable insights.
- Foster a culture of data findability and reusability by developing and maintaining effective metadata management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that encourage insight sharing.
- Evaluate and implement data models, flows, and processes that support the organization's goal of making data (insights) findable and reusable.
- Lead initiatives to enhance cross-unit data usage and collaboration, data interoperability and promoting a data-driven decision-making culture.
- Implement standards, procedures and processes to ensure compliance, security and ethical use of data in line with the data governance framework.
- Facilitate and delivery of data to third-party repositories, such as the FRIS platform ensuring compatibility and adherence to data standards.
- Participate in external fora as Vito responsible.
- Assist CDO in developing, implementing, and updating the data (info/knowledge) strategy and data governance framework.
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Data/Knowledge Architect or in a similar role, with a track record of successfully implementing Enterprise Knowledge graphs and data governance strategies.
- Strong expertise in data/knowledge management, including data governance, quality assurance, PID-strategies, knowledge graphs.
- Interest in relevant technologies and tools such as LLM, data lake principles,.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
