Risk Manager Europe

As Risk Manager Europe at Mohawk, you will play a pivotal role in protecting and strengthening our global operations.
You will:

- Manage key aspects of Mohawk’s risk management function across South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
- Collaborate with business units, site teams, engineers, and insurance partners to evaluate risk exposures and determine optimal strategies for risk retention or transfer. This will include on-site property risk assessments worldwide and being able to advise on risk mitigation measures. This is why you travel approximately 50% of your time.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with brokers, insurers, and third-party administrators to optimize our insurance portfolio.
- Lead the renewal and implementation of global insurance policies, including property, liability, cyber, fiduciary, and executive liability.
- Oversee the claims management process, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of incidents.
- Support safety and compliance initiatives in line with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and manage the annual risk management budget, allocating insurance-related costs across business units.
- Contribute to risk and insurance due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, working closely with Treasury and Risk teams.

**WHO ARE YOU?**
- You are a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for risk management. You bring:

- A higher education degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s), or equivalent by at least six years of relevant experience in risk or the insurance industry.
- Solid knowledge of the insurance industry and its various structures and policy types, or a broad knowledge of organizational structure, production, finance in general.
- This role is based or close to Unilin HQ (Belgium) or Marazzi HQ (Italy). The flexibility and willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to align with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach and the confidence to work independently and make decisions.
