Biopharma Operations Director

**Kaneka Eurogentec** is an internationally successful biotech group, part of Kaneka. For several decades it has been a worldwide supplier of innovative products and services to the Life Science and BioPharma industry. The company has developed a broad technological platform, which is organized in separate business units, subsidiaries, and production facilities. For our BioPharma Unit, we are looking for a (M/F):
**BIOPHARMA OPERATIONS DIRECTOR**

As part of the contract provided by Eurogentec, the Director of operations is part of the Management Team of the BioPharma Business Unit and report to the Head of BU BioPharma. He/she is responsible of 7 direct reports managing all the development and production processes for Biologics (pDNA and Proteins) and for mRNA. That means a total team of 180 white and blue collars over 2 nearby sites within the Liege science park in Seraing.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Leading the operations ‘teams to reach the development goals of the department by strengthening the processes and skills in line with customers ‘expectations and in line with GMP.
- Ensuring the growth of the BU’s profitability and result in order to contribute to Eurogentec’s economic growth by a proper costs and quality management.
- Organizing and developing the operations in order to be able to meet the current and future demands of the Biopharma market and surrounds himself with a strong operational management team and a supply chain function
- Establishing and communicating to his/her operations team (Process Transfer, QC, Production, Supply chain planning) the objectives that support the strategy
- Leading cross-functional teams to achieve objectives, improve and simplify manufacturing processes and analytical methods and supporting the teams in the change and growth of the business unit.
- Working in alignment and cooperation with the QA dpt to ensure compliance with our QMS and GMPs.
- Establishing and monitoring the provisional budget while guaranteeing the optimal functioning of operations, the quality of service for our customers
- Back up of the Head of BU Bio Pharma at the Management Committee
**Your profile**:

- Master’s degree in engineering & Manufacturing
- 15+ years experienced in leading production site with continuous improvement initiatives and ideally in LifeScience environment and with cross functional teams - previous management role in a CDMO environment is a major plus.
- Solid background in plant management operations in a GMP Manufacturing environment (pharma, chemicals, food supplements, clinical nutrition, etc.)
- Sensitivity for the cultural fiber of the organization
- Fluent in French and English
