Logistics Expert

**The company**

Our client is active in the chemical industry, specifically in the field of biocides, plant protection and pharma industry.

They are currently expanding their team with a **Logistics Specialist.**

**Your tasks**
- Order handling and logistics process, complaint handling and invoicing:_
- Send instructions to the warehouse in order to prepare the goods for pick up.
- Ensure the complete and appropriate set of documents is provided
- Transport: pricing, bookings, freight documents
- Assess ideal shipping methods, negotiate rates
- File invoices in IT system + work in close contact with the Finance Director
- Monitor cost savings and discuss opportunities with management
- Address and resolve any arising problem, complaint or claim with regard to logistics/shipping
- Stocks:_
- Monitor stocks of raw material (fifo) + update IT system
- Match forecast or budget demand with required stock levels and signal shortcomings
- Work closely with sales director about stock position, purchase orders
- Labelling:_
- Approve all labelling
- Other:_
- Maintain relationships with warehouse and logistics providers/transport companies
- Organize physical meetings with logistics partners when required (price negotiations, major complaint discussions,)
- Keep up to date with latest transport and customs regulations
- Help making our use of our IT system as efficient as possible

**Your profile**:

- You obtained a bachelors degree in logistics or supply chain management, or equivalent through experience.
- Preferably you have a first experience in expedition, customs, incoterms, import and export,
- You are eager to learn and attend trainings when needed (ADR, incoterms, Brexit,)
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
