We have a great opportunity for a **Senior Inventory Specialist** to join our inventory management team. You will report into our Commercial Operations manager who is leading the inventory team.
**About the team**:
As part of the global Lifescan Commercial team, the Inventory team ensures that:
- Inventory in all our warehouses is well controlled and managed through processes defined by quality.
- Our products arrive at the right place and at the right time within our global regions on a daily basis.
- There is a close collaboration with our contracted distribution center (Third Party Logistics provider / 3PL) and many internal stakeholders, as relationship management and data driven insights are an essential part in this complex environment.
- There is a high focus on process improvement and streamlining processes globally through our distribution centers.
We are a dynamic team with a balance of skills which include: understanding and translating our customer expectations into action, delivering improvement plans in close cooperation with our 3PL, and reporting on these action plans with our internal stakeholders.

**Key responsibilities will include**:
- Understanding and assessing the actual Inventory process flows with a result-oriented mindset & customer experience approach.
- Being part of our inventory ‘ears and eyes” team, and play a key role in providing insights into
inventory statuses to our internal stakeholders (customer service/commercial/plan/quality teams) through pro-active information sharing.
- Bringing a strong level of service, with an ability to look end-to-end across the Value Chain, always thinking about the customer's
- Being a core team member to future projects; assessing operational impact on running processes, contributing to project testing phases, developing and/or maintaining process documentation, and providing project updates to the rest of the team.
- Mapping out clear roles and responsibilities (RACI) for all current and future processes, identifying and screening process improvements, and driving global standardisation of these processes.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:
You will bring:
- A hands-on, eager to learn and process/result-oriented approach, with a proactive, problem
- solving, ‘can-do'-attitude.
- Strong analytical mindset; able to identify the root cause of issues and resolve them.
- Experience in managing inventory-related processes.
- An ability to balance a busy, ever-changing workload, prioritizing tasks and taking independent decisions to ensure the work is carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; you'll thrive on being a positive role model and team player.
- An ability to build and maintain strong, effective working relationships and partnerships across the organization and with our 3PL supplier.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (EN). Knowledge of NL is a plus.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in the use of the MS Office product suite.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and analytics tools (Oracle, JD Edwards, Tableau) is a plus. Training support will be provided so an eagerness to learn is required
