This position can be located in High Wycombe, United Kingdom; Beerse, Belgium; Leiden, Netherlands with remote work options within North America and Europe considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the company.

To transform the patient and investigator experience in Janssen clinical trials, we will overhaul our patient recruitment and retention approach to create a truly differentiated experience for our clinical trial partners, patients and investigators, that choose to participate in Janssen clinical trials. This change is meant to position our company as a leader in patient centered clinical trials.
As the Investigator & Patient Engagement, Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing TA and disease area aligned strategies to drive patient engagement, by leading and creating solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our patients and sites when deciding to participate in a clinical trial. You will also be responsible for driving and leading patient and investigator initiatives across the portfolio that will enable Janssen to consistently drive increase engagement, in a compliant manner. Identifying new and innovative solutions, across multiple channels, will be essential in delivering a differentiated clinical trial experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the development of the disease area recruitment, retention and site engagement strategy.
- Identify innovative approaches and solutions that align with the patient and site needs.
- Collaborate with Director of Patient Insights and Global Feasibility Leads to establish the key insights and environmental analysis needed to inform meaningful strategies.
- Be externally focused, bring perspective into the organization, and be a specialist in patients’ needs, attitudes, and behaviors and how those needs influence deliverables targeted for the patients, caregivers, research site/staff.
- Develop a deep understanding for the patient’s network of trusted partners (the care circle) that shape and influence the patient journey.
- Partner with our preferred supplier partners to develop cohesive, innovative strategies at disease area or programmatic level, informing program and protocol solutions.
- Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and conduct Return on Investment (ROI) analysis to determine strategies and tactics effectiveness and enable continuous improvement.
- Partner with operational recruitment managers to ensure seamless delivery and execution of the plan.
- Benchmark across the industry to ensure the team is staying current, and more importantly, forward-thinking in creating an optimal clinical trial experience.
- Play a critical role partnering with cross-functional partners including Global Operation members (Clinical Operations Head (COH)/Global Program Leader (GPL)/(Global Trial Leader (GTL)/Clinical Trial Manager (CTM)/Medical Affairs Operations (MAO)/Enabling Business Information Systems (EBIS), etc.), IPE Leadership Team, Global Feasibility Team, Commercial, Global Clinical Operations (GCO), Clinical Teams, Patient Insights, Procurement and Information Technology.
- Partner with legal, medical, regulatory and Health Care Compliance (HCC) to ensure solutions, strategies, and tactics are compliant.
**Qualifications**
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a scientific or health-related discipline. Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA) preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of related business experience, demonstrated and proven performance in strategic marketing and/or clinical operations experience is required.
- Experience in the following critical competencies is required: Analysis, Strategy Development & Execution, Customer & Market Knowledge, Medical Strategy
- Strong program management skills required.
- Biology/scientific background is preferred.
- Must have strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
