Do you have a couple of years of experience in functional analysis? Would you like to work for a worldwide listed group who is constantly investing in the latest technologies ? For our client Wolters Kluwer, we are looking for a Functional Analyst to support the digital transformation of our products. You will join the Tax & Accounting Software business unit, which develops and sells a whole range of software solutions for tax and accounting professionals, offering a wide range of software solutions.
As a Functional Analyst you make an important contribution to the transition of our software products.
You make analysis models based on requirements and explain the deliverables to the development team
You always pay attention to a timely delivery of quality solutions
You become an expert in the business and its jargon, getting to know our customers and learning how our software can help them
You take care of your stakeholder relations and know how to explain technical limitations to business stakeholders
You provide the necessary hand-over materials for customer service and our clients
You build a set of methodologies, processes and tools which can be standardized
Wolters Kluwer provides specialized information and technological solutions to professionals in a wide range of sectors. Our information, software and trainings help our clients make decisions and work more efficiently. You and your team of about 10 people will work mainly from our Hasselt office, though occasional visits to our HQ in Mechelen are required.
As for any functional analysis role, there are two major components to this job: analysis and communication. We’re looking for someone with excellent analytical skills, who understands the technicalities of development but also knows how to relay these to non-technical stakeholders. This is why you need great communication skills: respectful, open and proactive communication is key. After all, you’re the link between the product owner and the development team.
You hold a Master’s degree in commercial engineering, policy informatics, or equivalent through experience
You have 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
You speak Dutch fluently and can effortlessly produce documentation in English
You know the conventions of traditional analysis methods and can convert these to an agile development context
You’re familiar with the basic principles of testing & testing automation
Knowledge of accounting and taxes is a plus
You’re ready to take ownership of a project and know how to turn abstract tasks into concrete actions
