Associate Engagement Specialist

Associate Engagement and Internal Communications play a key role in engaging our 2,000 associates as proud ambassadors on how we Reimagine Medicine across our 3 sites in Belgium, helping them to better understand our strategy and feel connected to our purpose and culture.
Reporting to the Country Communications and Engagement Head, you will co-design, drive & manage local associate engagement activities and internal communications, incl. support of leadership and site communications.
Key Responsibilities:

- Co-develop and implement the local associate engagement and change communication strategy, designed to support and enable the BeLux business strategy, including (in partnership with local leadership and P&O) culture activation programs and activities to help drive adoption of our Inspired, Curious and Unbossed culture in the local market.
- Collaboratively develop internal communication strategy and tactical plan, along with the country P&O team and cross-functional teams, in line with the regional and global plan and help implement effective communication of key internal messages to increase employee engagement.
- Drive editorial and creative content creation with a hands-on approach to mark strategic milestones and support business priorities, manage internal newsflow and coordinate internal content planning. Develop internal messaging on complex, nuanced issues that is clear, concise, consistent and effectively engages associates.
- Optimize internal communications channels in line with the local content and omnichannel strategy by delivering a consistent drumbeat of communication activities, effectively communicate via multiple touchpoints that engage different audiences through a variety of channels, such as townhalls, leader calls, local intranet, digital channels and internal or offsite events for associates.
- Support the Innovative Medicines Leadership Team, drive leader engagements and activations (with help of C&E Head) in all aspects of internal communications (incl. effective message delivery and engagement), select and coach internal spokespeople, anticipate and identify internal communication opportunities and issues.
- Identify metrics to help evaluate the success and impact of internal communication channels and content, regular evaluation of channels to ensure targeted audience is effectively reached. Use data and analytics to help shape the strategic approach to employee engagement programs to ensure that at all times the needs of our internal customers are understood, met and at the heart of what we do.
- Be part of the regional Associate Engagement network as an active member to ensure sharing of information, best practices and to participate in effectively managing issues with a potential regional fallout.

**Minimum requirements**

What you’ll bring to the role:

- Master Degree / University Degree or equivalent
- 4 + years of professional experience in a communications role within a major corporation or public relations agency, at least 2 years in internal communications.
- Experience in associate and leader engagement, content and channel strategy, develop and manage executive voice. change communication experience and execution of issues and crisis communications programs
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to balance priorities and to consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience in data-driven communication impact and effectiveness measurement.
- Fluent in English, Dutch and French.
