**Wat is de job?**:
With the creation of a Business Intelligence center, Alken-Maes aims at gathering all the business analytics and reporting roles to build a cutting-edge structure to accelerate insights creation, collection and delivery to the operational Business teams (marketing, out of home & off-trade).

It enables organic development and accelerate capability growth by elevating analytical & data-driven skills and mindset throughout the OpCo. By combining all fragmented business intelligence capabilities, it leverages cross-functional collaboration and learning by ensuring intelligence profiles are embedded together to increase their development. The Business Intelligence Centre have E2E responsibility in this field consolidated in a roadmap and agenda.

**YOUR JOB**

As a **Data Analyst** you support our ambition to become a data-driven company. You source and shape data into meaningful insights using Microsoft Power BI or Excel. You listen, challenge, and serve our business users to help them become more data-driven. You bridge the gap between business and the back-end BI development to align business requirements with back-end data sources.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1.Turn data into meaningful and usable insights**
- Listen, challenge and serve our business users with new and structured Power BI / Excel data solutions.
- Maintain the existing Power BI landscape.
- Introduce and bring into practice new tools and technologies to help our organisation become more data-driven.
- Act as a middle-man between business and ID&T (IT) to make sure the available data and tooling capabilities match the business requirements.
- Support the Data Strategy Lead in forming and bringing the BI roadmap into execution.
- Help to increase data governance within the company by embedding and maintaining a report catalog, business glossary, business rules.
- Together with Global/external partners participate in several data-driven projects (MMM, DDS, iDDM, ).
- Educate business stakeholders on new data capabilities and assets.
- Constantly challenge the Way of Working by showcasing how we could enable business problem solving through data analytics.

**2. Be the SPOC for our D&A team (Data&Analytics)**:

- Give input to the D&A team to form the backlog based on business requirements/BI roadmap.
- Test (user acceptance) the delivered D&A solutions.
- Arise incidents and align with D&A team.
- Join sprint planning and review meetings to increase collaboration with D&A and BI-team.

**Wie ben jij?**:

- You have a professional Bachelor or Master in Economics or computer science;
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role in data analyst, front-end BI developer, data advanced analysis or data modelling either client side
- You have an educational background in IT, Advanced analytics, engineering, computer science or similar.
- A hands-on expertise in: Microsoft Power BI (or other OLAP tool), Excel, SQL, Python (optional),
- You have at least a basic understanding of data terms: data warehouse, facts and dimensions, star-schema,
- You have an understanding of web fundamentals (e.g. JavaScript, cookies, tagging);
- You know the Agile / Scrum way of the working.
- You have a strong analytical and critical mindset and you are creative in looking for improvements;
- You work very precisely, and you have an eye for detail;
- You are very pragmatic, pro-active and hands-on;
- You are a team player and solid in stakeholder management;
- You have good communication skills and you find it easy to maintain contacts with different stakeholders;
- You are eager to learn, and you can easily respond to change;
- You are trilingual (Dutch/English/French).
