**JOB SUMMARY**
Assists the property’s Banquets/Catering Department in the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts with a focus on group and catering accounts.
- Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking to make business requests.
- Generate offers and contracts using Opera software.
- Engage in negotiations and employ up-selling and cross-selling strategies to achieve optimal occupancy and implement a successful sales strategy.
- Proactively follow up with clients to successfully close deals.
- Collaborate closely with the revenue, sales, and events departments for seamless coordination.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**
- Experience with Opera software is essential.
- Proactive approach and a strong commercial drive.
- Possess a strong personality and enjoy effective communication with clients.
- Ambitious attitude with a passion for closing deals.
- Ability to multitask & manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Fluent in both written and verbal communication in English and French. Knowledge of Dutch or any other language is a plus.
**Education and Experience**
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the events, guest services, front desk, sales and marketing or related professional area.
OR
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; no work experience required.
